FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions we hear most about grid congestion, flexibility and subsidies.

What is grid congestion?
Grid congestion means the electricity grid in an area is full: the grid operator can no longer grant new or larger connections. As a result, businesses can't expand or electrify. With flexibility, such as battery storage and smart controls, you stay within your existing contracted capacity.
What is energy flexibility?
Flexibility means adjusting when and how much electricity you consume, produce or store: shifting loads away from peaks, using smart controls or deploying battery storage. It lets you grow within your existing grid connection and benefit from price differences in the energy market.
What is the Flex-e subsidy scheme?
Flex-e is a scheme from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) that supports businesses investigating and implementing flexibility measures. Through Flex-e you can receive 50% subsidy on a flexibility scan or feasibility study, and 40% on the EPC contract price for implementation. We handle the full application for you.
Who are your services for?
Primarily businesses in the Netherlands with a large-consumer grid connection that face grid congestion, plan to expand or electrify, or want to reduce their exposure to energy prices: from manufacturing and logistics to horticulture and real estate.
How long does a flexibility scan take?
Typically a few weeks from data delivery to final report, depending on the complexity of your operations and the availability of your metering data.
Do I have to commit to all three steps?
No. Each service stands on its own. The scan gives you a decision-ready picture; whether you continue with a feasibility study or implementation is entirely up to you.
